We provide analysis for runners who are fore-foot strikers, heel foot strikers and everything in-between.

We use 2 angle camera assessment as well as the physical therapist“eye-ball” test to identify leaks in power output and potential sites of injury risk.

All factors are considered including: training load, corrective exercises, recovery, program assessment and equipment.

What are the most common Running Injuries?

  • Knees (Runner’s knee)

  • IT Band

  • Shin Splints

  • Plantar Fasciitis

  • Achilles Tendonitis

  • Bone Stress Fractures

Statistics

  • An estimated 56% of recreational runners sustain a running-related injury related to the high impact forces in running. Increasing step frequency (cadence) while maintaining a consistent speed has been shown to be an effective way to lower impact forces which may reduce injury risk. Journal of Sports Physical Therapy 2021

  • Runners who overstride tend to lock their knees and slam their heels to the ground on every step. This slows you down, creates a choppy, bouncy gait, and puts extra pressure on muscles and bones, making you more susceptible to injury. Wahoo Fitness Blog
